What is Industrial Reverse Osmosis System?

An industrial reverse osmosis (RO) system is a water treatment system that uses the process of reverse osmosis to purify water on a large scale for industrial or commercial applications. Reverse osmosis is a technology that uses a semi-permeable membrane to remove impurities from water, including dissolved salts, minerals, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants.

In an industrial RO system, water is pressurized and forced through the semi-permeable membrane, which allows only water molecules to pass through while blocking the passage of most other contaminants. The purified water, known as permeate, is collected on one side of the membrane, while the concentrated contaminants, known as brine or reject, are flushed away.
