The super-rigid GT-27 is equipped with a powerful C-Axis Spindle that truly expands machining capability. In addition to high-speed turning operations, you can easily cut slots, offset holes, cross-holes, bolt-hole circles and a multitude of other operations that traditionally required secondary operations on a milling machine or machining center. Imagine now you can drill, mill, tap, thread and more in a single chucking for optimum accuracy and throughput. Prodigy GT-27 truly accelerates machining potential to the next level.
Spindle – The ultra-rigid spindle produces great low-end torque for heavy cuts in tough materials and up to 6,000 rpm for superior workpiece finishes. It features C-Axis control for real-world machining flexibility. A non-heat generating pneumatic collet is standard.
Dead Tooling – Basic turning, drilling, grooving and threading operations are done through use of dead tooling. The tool block holds up to 10 tools total. Modular design expands machining flexibility – quick and simple tool changeover modifies the machine’s capability to suit your changing machining requirements.
