NILES-SIMMONS MCM Multi-Slide Machining Centres
The NILES-SIMMONS MCM Multi-Slide Machining Centres are designed for the
complete machining of crankshafts. Applications range from
prototyping of small passenger vehicle crankshafts and
complete machining for light aircraft crankshafts to
one-offs and small-batch manufacture of large crankshafts for
stationary or marine diesel engines.
The combination of the universal turning, drilling, and milling head
with powerful external milling units provides maximum flexibility.
This configuration allows for integrated turning, drilling, and milling operations
specifically optimized for crankshaft machining, while ensuring
high stock-removal capability when machining crankshaft bearings
and counterweights using large side-milling cutters.
Additional capabilities such as gun drilling, gear hobbing, hard turning,
and hard mill/turning processes complete the application range,
extending up to semi-finishing of hardened crankshafts.
