DMTG HVL 50 CNC Horizontal Milling Machine

DMTG HVL 50 CNC Horizontal Milling Machine

A Horizontal Milling Machine is a machine tool used for milling, drilling, boring, or thread cutting using a rotating tool. Regardless of a machine’s function, the horizontal spindle orientation allows manufacturers to work quickly and efficiently, especially with projects that create large amounts of chips. The horizontal layout allows the chips to simply fall away or be easily removed

This particular machine comes equipped with an automatic tool changer, turntable, coolant system, and specialty enclosure as described below. If you are in the market to increase capacity we recommend this machine be considered based on the following:

· Proven Design
· Cost Effective
· Fast Delivery

Axis Nomenclature
This machine is a 4-axis, CNC controlled, single head, Horizontal Milling Machining center, with a 15KW, 20HP spindle motor.

· X-axis: Traveling Column
· Y-axis: Saddle
· Z-axis: Table Slide
· B-axis: Rotary Table

Axis Travels
The total programmable axes travels in inch and metric dimensions are shown below:

· X-axis: 600 mm / 23.6 in
· Y-axis: 400 mm / 15.7 in
· Z-axis: 500 mm / 19.7 in
· B-axis: 360 Degree Continuous

Machine Capacity
The approximate working envelope is 400mm x 400mm x 400mm (HxWxL). Using linear bearings, the machine is capable of the following:

· Feedrates: 10,000 mm/min
· Traverse Rates: 36 M/min
· Tool Adaption: MAS-1 BT40

Position Feedback
The Closed Loop operation of the machine is achieved using the Fanuc motor encoders.

Table Description
The 400mm x 400mm rotary table allows the part to be positioned in any orientation for machining.

Spindle Capacity
The 15 kw (20 hp), 8,000 rpm spindle will deliver a minimum of 20HP at 1500 rpm.

Tool Changing System

System consists of a 16 pocket tool drum capable of changing tools in 1.2 seconds (tool to tool). System capacities are as follows:

· Max Weight: 5 kg
· Max Diameter: 80 mm (3.1”)
· Max Length: 300 mm (11.8”)

Control System

The machine is currently controlled by a Fanuc 0i CNC. The Fanuc platform provides single control architecture for discrete I/O, drives, motion and process control systems. However, the machine can be retrofitted to the following:

· Siemens 828D or 840D CNC

· Fanuc 30i, 31i or 32i CNC

We have experience in a wide variety of control systems. If another solution is desired.

Optional Equipment
The existing machine has everything described above but can also be equipped with the following features:

· Fixture

· Additional Rotary Axis (Turret)

· MQL Coolant System

Mechanical Condition
This machine has been used for demonstration purposes only and is sitting on our show room ready to be shipped. Manufacturers everywhere need new production solutions to bring products to market faster and at reduced costs. Together we can provide solutions for all your production needs. Whether you are interested in this machine, new equipment, automation, retools, retrofits, or machine services; we have a solution that will exceed your expectations!
