The WILLEMIN-MACODEL 308S2 is a machining center with 5 simultaneous axes designed to machine complex prismatic workpieces with small dimensions. Highly compact, it incorporates the latest technological developments, and its ingenious design ensures first-rate performance with exceptional rigidity and accuracy. The kinematic chain has been optimized to guarantee maximum rigidity between the tool tip and the workpiece. The rotating axis drives, equipped with cooled torque motors, provide a high level of thermal stability. The precision vertical C-axis allows turning operations up to 4000 rpm. Its high-performance powered spindle—developed specifically for the 308S2—offers maximum functionality while remaining compact, achieving milling speeds up to 60,000 rpm. The 308S2 machining center has proven to be a highly productive and durable production unit, known for its excellent stability and long-term precision. For greater autonomy, it can be integrated with a robotic cell perfectly engineered by WILLEMIN-MACODEL. It can also be adapted for either slug stock operation or palletized mode, and a broad selection of optional equipment is available.
