KALTENBACH GIETART GW2506 Roller-Conveyor Shot-Blast Line for Cleaning Plates Profiles & Tubes

KALTENBACH GIETART GW2506 Roller-Conveyor Shot-Blast Line for Cleaning Plates Profiles & Tubes

The Gietart GW2506 is an integrated line for the surface preparation and painting of profile and sheet materials. This system combines material preheating, automatic sandblasting with high-power turbines, surface cleaning, automatic paint application, and a drying oven in a single, continuous flow. Its large workpiece capacity enables the efficient processing of large profiles and plates.

The GW-series is Gietart’s “standard” roller-conveyor shot-blast line, while the 2506 size is also offered in two faster, upgraded versions.
Below is a concise overview that puts the “GW2506” in context and then lists the key technical data that apply to all 2506-size machines (GW, High-Speed and ECO).
1. Where the GW2506 sits in the programme
GW line = Gietart’s conventional, roller-conveyor blast machine for plates, beams and tubes.
The same 2 500 mm × 600 mm work opening is also used in the High-Speed Blaster 2506 and ECO Blaster 2506, but those versions add heavier turbines, higher power and more abrasive flow for 2-3× the throughput.
All machines share the same basic cabinet, manganese lining, cascade air-wash and cartridge filter extraction, so the dimensional and consumable data below are valid for the GW2506 as well.

2. Core specification (2506 size – applies to GW, High-Speed & ECO)

Table
Item Data
Work opening (w × h) 2 500 mm × 600 mm
Number of blast turbines 6
Power per turbine (GW version) 15 kW (High-Speed: 30 kW)
Max. throughput* ±20 000 t/yr (GW) – up to 50 000 t/yr (High-Speed)
Abrasive flow total 6 × 180 kg min⁻¹ (GW) – 6 × 360 kg min⁻¹ (High-Speed)
Roller speed (variable) 0.5 – 4 m min⁻¹
Typical line speed in practice 1 – 2.5 m min⁻¹ (depends on Sa 2½ requirement)
Abrasive cleaning 3-stage cascade air-wash + magnetic separator
Dust emission ≤3 mg m⁻³ (cartridge filters with long-life cartridges)
Noise level at operator side ≤82 dB(A) (cabinet insulated)
Installed electric power (GW) ≈130 kW (without extraction fan)
Compressed-air demand 6 bar, 50 Nm³ h⁻¹
Overall footprint (L × W) ≈18 m × 7 m (in- and out-feed 12 m + 6 m)
*Throughput figure is for structural steel; plate mills running 2-shift can exceed the value.

3. Features you get on every GW2506

  • Manganese, bolt-in cabinet lining – 7-year warranty on the blast housing.
  • Quick-change turbine housings and impellers; external abrasive valve adjustment while running.
  • Automatic height sensing + side sealing fingers to minimise abrasive loss.
  • Brush/blow-off station after blast zone; optional “water blow-off” for plate mills.
  • Self-contained abrasive silo with level probes and automatic refill.
  • Reverse-jet cartridge filter; cleaned air returned to hall – no outside stack needed in most countries.
  • Remote I/O with Profibus/Profinet; ready for integration into line PLC.

4. Typical options ordered with a GW2506

  • Cross-transfer tables for automatic loading.
  • Pre-heater (gas or induction) when plate temperature <露点.
  • Paint blow-off + dryer module for plate pre-fabrication lines.
  • Second blast zone (8 turbines) if higher speed is required later.
  • “Blue-line” package: premium liners, Super-HT impellers, 25 % wear-life extension.

The machines will be installed at the location requested by the buyer and delivered in working order.
Machine prices do not include shipping and customs fees.

Transportation, visa procedures, accommodation, and meal expenses for the personnel involved in the machine installation, whether within or outside machine location, are the responsibility of the buyer.
