BUILDING OF EQUIPMENT
The headstock grinder is equipped with a magnetic chuck (to be removed and replaced with an expanding arbor locating on the ID of the cylinder liner).

• Parts are fed via a walking beam system
• A cylinder rod pushes parts onto the arbor
• At cycle end, a ram pushes finished parts forward
• The beam indexes, ejecting finished parts and positioning new parts
• Parts are loaded onto a hydraulic expanding arbor that clamps internally
• Outboard support clamps the arbor for rigidity
• Entire workhead slide feeds into the grinding wheel

MACHINE BED
• Epoxy granite bed for superior thermal stability
• Anti-friction linear guideways for headstock movement
• Servo-driven infeed system
ARBOR SUPPORT
• Expanding arbor clamps internally on part ID
• Outboard support provides additional stiffness
• In-process gaging system for ID clamping and grinding measurement
2-AXIS CNC DRESSER
• 2-Axis CNC controlled dresser with glass scale feedback
• Single point diamond or rotary diamond cutter
• Mounted on quill for radius blending capability
