This machine is equipped with a 2m LNS bar loader, enabling it to fully automate the production of milled and turned components directly from bar stock.
On the main spindle, there is an E162 round chuck with a bar capacity of Ø10mm. The bar loader itself is designed for materials up to Ø65mm. In addition, the machine features a pneumatically operated two-jaw chuck, allowing for complete secondary machining of parts on the sub-spindle. Finished components can then be removed using an integrated gripper and placed onto a conveyor belt.
The machine was retrofitted by CHIRON specifically for precious metal machining. This primarily means that the seals within the machine were reinforced, and the standard chip conveyor was replaced with a drawer system featuring a fabric filter.
