The Company The Alfing Special Machine Group

The Alfing Special Machine Group is comprised of two manufacturing companies: AKS (Alfing Kessler Sondermaschinen) and AMT (Alfing Montagetechnik) as well as the sales and service branches Alfing Corporation (USA) and Alfing Machine Tools (China). AKS and AMT are jointly managed and are closely interrelated in the fields of development, design and production. Common departments, e.g. Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing and IT were merged and now support both companies. With approx. 500 employees, the Group generates an annual turnover of nearly 100 million Euros.

AKS – World market leader in the production of connecting rods 

The product range of AKS includes special machines and machining centers for connecting rod processing as well as fracture splitting machines and assembly machines. These are mainly used in the production processes of almost every major automotive manufacturer and supplier.

A position based on the competence, the willingness to innovate and the patents of more than 75 years of mechanical engineering. The latest generation of AX, AT and AF connecting rod machines is the logical consequence of this intense search for uncompromisingly reliable, precise and fast high-tech machines. 

AMT – Leading specialist for nut runner technology, assembly systems and automation 

The continuous development of more and more precise, intelligent and energy-efficient nut runner systems for safety and quality-critical fastening applications is the foundation of the company’s internationally earned top position. 

Extensive expertise in conception and construction of manual, partly automated and fully automatic assembly systems makes AMT a worldwide partner to the automotive industry and its suppliers. 

In the automation industry, AMT develops complex solutions for the automated loading and unloading of machines, as well as their inter-connections.
