| 5-axis gantry CNC machining center. A 5-axis machining center with a second X-axis specially designed for machining panels and profile-matching. The Mega-Flex is ideal for finishing aluminium profiles with very large sections (profile panels). Thanks to the large section capacity, it can also finish frames used for mass transportation. The machine is equipped with a 5-axis milling motor of 25 kW, 39.5 kW or 44 kW with a 36-position tool turret. This machining center includes a double X-axis in combination with two vertical clamping systems, keeping the profile panel vertically clamped during operations. At this large profile size (width 3,500 mm × height 1,000 mm), the machine can measure, drill, tap, mill and saw. Probe results are automatically compensated in the NC program. Clamps are arranged as (2 × 8) up to (2 × 16) units placed with the machine column. | ||
