CNC cylindrical grinding machine TACCHELLA ELEKTRA 1518 MPC, manufactured in 1999 in Italy, is used for grinding external rotating surfaces. Characterized by high reliability and efficiency, the grinding machine offers the user extremely accurate machining of details with a maximum length of 1500 mm and a diameter of 350 mm in the X and Z axes.

Roller grinding has never been so fast and precise. The detail machining process is performed in a large working space of the machine equipped with a tailstock, grinding wheel spindle and workpiece spindle. A detail with a maximum weight of 50 kg, placed in the holder of a spindle rotating at a speed of 800 rpm, is ground at high speed by a rotating grinding wheel with a maximum diameter of 450 mm. The grinding wheel headstock has an incremental encoder.

The equipment of the ELEKTRA 1518 MPC grinder also includes the HOFLER BALANCE SYSTEMS VM 24 operator panel and the functional and easy-to-use FAGOR CNC controller for entering parameters and full control over the grinding process. The total weight of the machine is 6500 kg.
