Application & Cutting Capability
Suitable for the cutting of spiral bevel and hypoid gears and pinions up to
30″ (762 mm) diameter via face-milling,
and up to 22″ (558.8 mm) diameter via
face-hobbing method, utilizing the
TRI-AC cutting system.
CNC Control & Axis Configuration
Machine furnished with a freestanding, air-conditioned electrical enclosure,
with operator’s pendant located at the front of the machine adjacent to the
powered access door.

Control System: GE-FANUC 150M CNC control with spiral bevel gear
cutting software, cycle fault monitoring, and memory capacity for
25 part programs.

Automatic setup and control of six (6) CNC axes:
• A-Axis – Work spindle rotational axis
• X-Axis – Horizontal linear motion of cutter axis
• B-Axis – Swinging base of work-spindle axis
• Y-Axis – Vertical linear motion of cutter axis
• C-Axis – Cutter spindle rotational axis
• Z-Axis – Sliding base linear motion of work-spindle axis
