The 2012 Mazak Cybertech 5500T CNC Lathe is a high-capacity turning center designed to handle long, heavy workpieces with unmatched stability and accuracy. With a 16″ 3-jaw main chuck and a 7″ tailstock chuck, the machine supports parts up to 157.48″ in length. It offers a maximum swing of 36.02″ and a cutting diameter of up to 26.61″ on the upper turret, supported by a powerful 60 HP spindle motor (50 HP continuous) capable of operating from 2 to 500 RPM for optimal torque and speed balance.

This model is equipped with dual turrets—10 positions on the upper turret and 8 on the lower—allowing for simultaneous machining to maximize productivity and reduce cycle times. The Mazatrol Matrix 2 control system enables intuitive operation, advanced part programming, and full toolpath management. With X1-axis travel of 19.20″ and a Z1-axis stroke of 166.77″, the machine accommodates a wide range of part sizes and machining strategies.

Supporting systems include dual Mazak T8-1000 Superflow high-pressure coolant systems, a Tsubakimoto Mayfran chip conveyor, and a Donaldson Torit WSO 25-1 mist collector for clean, efficient operation. Dual oil chillers from Kouwakougyo and Kanto Seiki maintain spindle and coolant temperatures to ensure consistent accuracy in extended runs. Designed with heavy-duty construction and smart features like foot controls and a dedicated pendant, the Cybertech 5500T is an ideal solution for industries requiring precision, power, and reliability in large-scale part manufacturing.
