This machine design includes two independently programmable gang slides, programmable Z-axis sliding headstocks, 10 hp integral machine spindles, and a 10-axis CNC control that allows the option to configure servo-driven spindles that can be mounted in axial, radial, or Y-axis modules all at the same time. This is the most cost-effective and versatile dual spindle available in the industry today.
Our single-piece heavy casting is the culmination of years of experience in machine tool manufacturing and offers the best features for gang tool and turret lathe construction. Our driven tool spindles can perform axial milling, drilling, boring, broaching, radial milling and gear hobbing, and tapping functions. The GT-DS2X uses the new 988TD CNC control, a dual-channel turning center CNC control developed by GSK. It is based on ARM+DSP dual-core hardware architecture by connecting the industrial ethernet bus with the (GSK-Link), the servo drives, and a remote I/O unit. The 988TD can control up to 10 axes and 4 spindles; each path includes 6 feed axis (including the C axis) in each path, a 3-axis link, and 3 spindles to realize turning with compound milling operations.
