The design principle with the torque drives built into the side cheeks of the machine base
Torque drives allow workpiece volumes of 800 mm around the C axis and 800 mm around the A axis. A special feature is the C-axis table, which is lowered by 100 mm.
between the main spindle and the C-axis table to 650 mm, and also offers a maximum Y-working path with the C-axis tilted by 90° of 450 mm; with a maximum Y-travel path of
650 mm.
These features alone make the GS 650/5-T unique in its class. Due to the stiffness,
this machine is predestined for torque drives with applications in highly dynamic and
highly dynamic and
highly accurate 5-axis simultaneous machining.
