The watermelon line WML5 can be used to process watermelons. With the WML5 line, the watermelons are placed manually on a loading station that advances to the cutting station.
The selected watermelons are pushed to a system that cuts the fruit into large slices (thickness to be determined).
They are then picked up manually one by one by an operator and positioned on special shuttles.
During transport inside the machine, the slices are selected according to their diameter by a special system.
Determined by the size, a pick & place device removes them by placing them on the corresponding cutting unit and the diameter of the story producing cubes.
The cubes and external waste are transported and separated on two underlying belts for further processing. The machine allows loading (manual and continuous) at a capacity of 4 – 5 fruits per minute.
The machine can process all types of watermelons, even those that are not perfectly uniform, of different sizes and varieties, after regulation.
