Machine Description
The META series grinding machines are equipped with advanced tool programming software integrated into the CNC system. A simple and intuitive graphical interface, with specific illustrations for each programmable parameter, allows operators—even without deep tool geometry knowledge—to regrind or manufacture tools efficiently. Capabilities include regrinding and producing twist drills, square mills, corner radius mills, ball nose mills with equal/unequal division and helix, disc mills, male grinding, and polygonal tool geometries. With a cast iron base and column, META models provide the structural rigidity required for demanding tool geometries. The machine kinematics are composed of 3 linear axes (X, Y, Z) and 2 rotary axes (A, C). The Y and Z axes are mounted on a column containing the spindle, while the A-axis collet unit is mounted on the C-axis, which itself is supported by the X-axis slide.
