Based on the respective model, machining lengths from 1 m to 25 m (3 - 82 ft) are available. In addition to the universal turning-milling head, a comprehensive selection of attachments for all required machining methods are part of the system to complete the machining of complex components in one single setup. The auxiliary heads are automatically exchanged during the manufacturing. The automatic tool changer moves on an independent shuttle behind the travelling column located at the rear of the machine. It operates simultan- eously during the machining process so that the toolchange can take place in any longitudinal travel position. The programs for the SIEMENS 840D control are either automatically generated by WeinCAD® or manually input at the machine. The diagnostic program WMDS® in combination with the emulation software CHECKitB4® ensures maximum availability and productivity.
