In addition to the standard milling spindle with 30.000 rpm, which is designed for diamond milling, another version of the milling spindle with a speed of 18.000 rpm is optionally available. This milling spindle enables a production of visually exacting surfaces. Both spindles are equipped with tool holder system type HSK-40. The tool changer is optionally available with 30, 58 or 116 positions for tool holders. For work piece handling, of e.g. rings, bangles, watchcases, bezels, etc. different automation solutions are available also in combination with the automatic change of high precision clamping systems. Other characteristic features of this machine are the automatic stone setting device with orientation of stones, the storage capacity of up to 2.400 stones, the measuring of tools and work pieces with a laser measuring system, the camera system for orientation of the work pieces, the bar feeding system, the recovery of precious metal chips, etc. Benzinger Creative, a CADCAM system for milling, faceting, engraving, stone setting, manufacturing guilloches etc. for machining of wedding and jewelry rings, watchcases, bezels, dials, jewelry parts and others which has been developed specially for the machine 5@work. Benzinger Creative offers enormous possibilities and facilitations in creating and programming of complicated patterns, also in defining tools and machining strategies and finally in creating NC-programmes. All these features can be combined with real time simulation of the created programmes.
