Machine Control
The digital machine control, together with the new
operator interface, reflects the consistent design to
provide a modular and flexible mechanism within
the electrical control and operating concept of the
machine. Using powerful bus systems, the individual
axes can be freely configured with one another
and interpolate. This highly flexible system forms
the basis and guarantee for efficient setting of the
machine when changing products. In conjunction
with the new machine kinematics, the precision on
the work piece can be increased significantly. Mechanically
related manufacturing tolerances of the
basic machine and other components such as collets
can be stored and automatically compensated
by the controller.
Inverting Module
The newly developed 3-axis CNC inverting module
ensures a reliable inversion – machining reverse
side. The first step of the inverting process detects
the position of the work piece.
Then the gripper system will open, clamp over the
work piece and rotate 180 degrees. The component
is reinserted back into the collet and the insertion
rod makes a positional comparison with the measurement
taken at the start of the sequence.
The detection of the work piece position and the
form-fit gripper system guarantee a correct position,
damage-free and accurate turning position.

work from bar, coil or with automatic feeding of

One base module with a universal interface for the
12- or 16-station rotary transfer machine, with fully
CNC-controlled machining processes. Quality and

For bars up to Ø 52 mm or with automated work piece
feeding: wherever demanding parts are manufactured
with high precision, in large quantities and at
high speed, the PT-Machine series from Pfiffner offers
the best solution.
